Overview

Faxon Firearms ARAK-21 complete upper receiver system (Sports South exclusive) in Tungsten Cerakote.

Machined from a billet monolithic aluminum upper receiver and forearm housing, the complete upper drops onto any mil-spec AR-15 lower using standard takedown and pivot pins.

  • Patented long-stroke piston system with dual reciprocating operating rods to keep gas out of the action for cleaner, more reliable cycling.
  • No buffer tube required: self-contained recoil system is within the upper receiver; rifle cycles with stock fully folded.
  • Tool-less caliber conversion: barrel assembly unit (BAU) integrates barrel, trunnion, adjustable gas system, and piston; 5.56 NATO to 7.62x39mm conversion via separately sold conversion kits.
  • Fully ambidextrous design: tool-less reversible non-reciprocating forward charging handle, and reversible bolt with dual ejection ports for left- or right-side ejection.
  • Exclusive Tungsten Cerakote finish on the upper receiver and lower handguard plate (warm, medium-gray).
