XM177E2 Complete Upper Receivers by Brownells. The XM177E2 upper is built around an M16A1 style upper without shell deflector. Features include an XM177 flash hider with grenade ring, a lightweight 11.5 inch or 12.7 inch 5.56x45mm NATO barrel, a pinned and welded muzzle device on the 12.7 inch configuration to achieve rifle length, 1-12 or 1-7 twist rates, chrome bore and chamber, M16A1 ejection port cover, tear-drop forward assist, and A1 rear sight assembly. Carbine black polymer handguards with heat shields. Included manganese phosphate mil-spec bolt carrier group with Carpenter 158 bolt.
