Matador Arms MAT-9 AR-9 9mm 7.825in Roller Delayed Upper Receiver. The MAT-9 upper is a roller-delayed buffer-less, side-charging, non-reciprocating upper featuring EZTS Easy Take-down System with no tools required for maintenance. The upper is machined for maximum weight reduction with a slim profile and compatibility with bolt catches and lower receivers. It uses a tapered multi-material 4-piece trunnion system to maintain mechanical accuracy and durability. The MAT-9 upper is compatible with AR-9 Lower receivers in any double-stack magazine configuration; with an AR-15 Lower Receiver it requires the Matador Arms Mag-X magazine conversion kit or equivalent Endomag. The Roller Delayed system reduces recoil and eliminates buffer tubes, increasing agility for compact spaces.
