Blackout Defense complete dual taper lock .223 Wylde slick side upper receiver group. Upper receiver and handguard are precision machined for a monolithic-like appearance with alignment pins for extra rigidity. Dual Taper Lock system uses two tapers and two interlocking barrel nuts to center and stabilize the barrel within the upper. Upper is machined from Aerospace Grade Aluminum with anti-rotation holes; the dust cover is fully contained within the upper receiver. Handguard provides seven sides of M-LOK mounting and a full-length Picatinny top rail. Barrel is cryogenically treated 416-R stainless steel with 5R rifling and a 1:8 twist. Threads per inch are 1/2x28. Bolt Carrier Group is 8620 steel with a 9310 or Carpenter 158 bolt; bolts are shot-peened and MPI. Ambidextrous charging handle available. Muzzle device: No.
