Blackout Defense Complete Dual Taper Lock .223 Wylde Forward Assist Upper Receiver Group is a complete AR-15 upper receiver group featuring the Dual Taper Lock (DTL) system that uses two tapers and two interlocking barrel nuts to center and stabilize the barrel. The upper and handguard are precision machined to achieve a monolithic-like appearance with alignment pins for structural integrity. The DTL system provides centricity of the upper bores while stabilizing the chamber and reducing POI shifts from impact. Upper Receiver: machined from Aerospace Grade Aluminum with enhanced walls and two anti-rotation holes for precise alignment with the handguard. The dust cover is integrated inside the upper receiver, locking in place via a locked groove in the locking pin. Handguard: seven sides of M-LOK mounting slots with a full-length Picatinny top rail; barrel nut is hidden for a cleaner look.
