Blackout Defense complete dual taper lock upper receiver group with forward assist. Upper receiver and handguard are precision machined to align for a monolithic-like appearance. Dual Taper Lock system uses two tapers and two interlocking barrel nuts to center the barrel and upper bores, providing rigidity and reduced POI shifts. Upper receiver is machined from aerospace-grade aluminum; the dust cover is integrated within the upper receiver. Handguard offers seven sides of M-LOK mounting slots with a full-length Picatinny top rail. Barrel is cryogenically treated 416-R stainless steel with 5R rifling and a dedicated .30 caliber enhanced extension for improved reliability with .300 AAC Blackout ammunition.
