The Dual Taper Lock (DTL) complete upper is designed for a monolithic-like upper/handguard appearance with precise alignment via alignment pins to improve structural integrity. The DTL system uses two tapers and two interlocking barrel nuts to center and secure the barrel, providing centric bores and reduced POI shifts. The upper receiver and handguard are machined from Aerospace Grade Aluminum for rigidity and a low profile. The dust cover is fully contained within the upper receiver, and the handguard mounts with a clean monolithic-like finish. The handguard offers seven sides of M-LOK mounting slots and a full-length Picatinny top rail, with the barrel nut hidden for a clean look.

Upper Receiver: machined from Aerospace Grade Aluminum with enhanced walls for rigidity and a low profile; features two anti-rotation holes for precise alignment with the handguard. Dust cover hinge pin is held in place by the barrel nut to ensure proper lock-up and alignment.

Barrel: Cryogenically treated 416-R stainless steel with 5R rifling and precision machining features; dedicated .30 caliber enhanced extension for reliability with subsonic and supersonic .300 AAC ammunition. Non-threaded, 5/8x24 threads.
