KNS Precision AK Adjustable Gas Piston (Mod 2)

Overview

The KNS Precision AK Adjustable Gas Piston is a replacement piston head that attaches to the AK bolt carrier in about 10 minutes with no major gunsmithing or permanent modification required.

It provides a wide range of gas adjustment for suppressed and unsuppressed use and can help tune an AK that is over-gassed (e.g., brass thrown over 15 feet).

Fitment / selection notes

• Small Bore/Caliber pistons: .223", 5.56mm, and 5.45mm
• Large Bore/Caliber pistons: 7.62x39, .308", and 7.62x54r
• Select the correct piston for your firearm using the compatibility chart.
• Some commercial-spec firearms may have the piston welded to the carrier (KNS recommends a new carrier for easiest installation).
• Vepr and Saiga pistons may require drilling through the op-rod due to staking location variations.
