EPF (End Plate, FCD) is an AR15/M16 carbine end plate based on ESF-H1 (single socket QD swivel end plate) but without a QD swivel socket for those that don't need one. This is an end plate and does not have a QD swivel socket. Machining an end plate from a solid block of 4140 accounts for much of the cost; the coating alone (DLC or Cerakote) is nearly 1/3 of the cost of the EPF. EPF end plates are not hardened or nitrided and use 4140 steel for strength and wear resistance. EPF is designed to withstand wear and load from QD sling hardware and is compatible with AR-15/M16 platforms.
