Variable rate recoil spring for Government Model pistols. Variable-rate springs function across a wider range of loads than fixed-rate springs. The rate increases as the spring is compressed, providing greater protection against frame battering, more consistent lockup, and improved feeding, while easing manual cycling of the action. Factory weight is 16 lb. Available weights include 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16.5, 18.5, and 20 lb.
