It combines their tried-and-true MK18 with their Daniel Defense RIS III Rail Interface System. This revolutionary system takes the proven design of their two-piece RIS II rails used by SOCOM since 2006 and reduces weight while adding versatility by utilizing popular M-LOK attachment. You get the same proven free-float barrel design, durable aircraft-grade aluminum construction, and an uninterrupted upper rail platform with Mil-Spec 1913 rail of the RIS II plus seven M-LOK attachment points along the handguard and integral QD swivel attachment points on both sides. The rest is MK18, including a 10.3-inch Cold Hammer Forged barrel—the same length found in the MK18 upper most commonly used for CQB operations. An independently ambidextrous GRIP-N-RIP Charging Handle accommodates left- and right-handed shooters, and the rifle comes with their ergonomic Daniel Defense Buttstock and Pistol Grip as well as three low-profile rail ladders made from Santoprene to protect your support hand.
