Thanks to a proprietary alloy of aluminum and magnesium, it weighs about 30 to 40 percent less than aircraft aluminum but retains the same strength. The BCM KMR Alpha also allows for a larger range of modularity offering 4 different offset mounting positions between traditional 3,6,9, and 12:00 positions. It has a hardcoat anodized finish that creates a corrosion resistant non-reflective surface with superior wear resistance.
