The Daniel Defense Rail Interface System (RIS II) M4A1 FSP handguard was developed at the request of U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) for the SOPMOD II program. This 12.25-inch, 2-piece, free-floating style handguard accommodates a standard front sight base (FSP) on a carbine-length gas system, while providing a rigid Picatinny rail interface for mounting lights, grips, lasers, and other accessories.
