American Built Arms' MOD1 is a carbine-length, two-piece drop-in AR-15 handguard with integrated upper and lower heat shields for cooling. It is made from heat-stabilized nylon reinforced with high-strength fibers, works with direct impingement or gas piston systems, and has a textured grip area with a hand stop. Standard Picatinny rail sections (sold separately) attach to customize it; it does not accept M-LOK accessories.
