The Aero Precision Minimal Optical Deflection (MOD) 4 handguard is a free-float AR-15 handguard machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and engineered to reduce deflection under load. It features a 9.1 inch length, stiffness-focused design, and attaches to the upper receiver via a steel barrel nut (no timing required) to reduce point-of-impact shift with infrared devices. The handguard provides a full-length, 7-sided M-LOK interface with a top Picatinny rail, steel-reinforced QD sockets, and includes two anti-rotation set screws. The barrel nut lug pattern matches mil-spec castle nuts and is compatible with low-profile gas blocks.
