IMI Defense A2 Polymer Handguard is a USGI-type replacement for carbines factory-original handguards. It is made from fiberglass-reinforced injection-molded polymer. It features ridged gripping surface and top/bottom vent holes for an authentic military look, and an internal aluminum heat shield to protect the hand from barrel heat. The M16 A2 Rifle-length variant is available with a single heat shield for insulation during sustained rapid or full-auto fire. All models fit AR-15/M16/M4 with A2 Rifle-length gas system.
