ZHUKOV hand guard for short barrels fits Kalashnikov-pattern firearms with shorter barrels and standard-length gas systems. It features a full aluminum internal chassis for rigidity and heat protection, eight full M-LOK slots and two half slots at two, six, and ten o'clock for accessory mounting, and is compatible with the UltiMAK gas tube rail for optics mounting. The hand guard supports factory AK-pattern cleaning rods stored under the barrel and requires permanent removal of the OEM hand guard retaining cap. Made in the USA. Note: Barrel diameter under the hand guard should fall between 16.75–18.25 mm before cutting the retaining cap. This guard is 1.5 inches shorter than the standard Zhukov and is optimized for AK variants with shorter barrels. Includes a vented gas tube cover for stamped pattern rifles to preserve a consistent appearance and aesthetics.
