Further improving on ergonomics and reliability, the Glock G17 Gen 5 was introduced in 2017. It is chambered in 9mm.
Improved features include an ambidextrous slide stop and nDLC finish on the barrel and slide, a flared magazine well, and the reintroduction of the half-moon shaped cutout on the front bottom of the grip.
Gen 5 G17 magazines were redesigned to feature a frontward lip for easier extraction.
