When looking at lightweight bolt carrier groups, Faxon set out to create a Gunner-grade BCG with no compromise in strength or function. Key details include a 9310 tool steel bolt, Salt Bath Nitride coating on the carrier, and a Chameleon PVD finish on the carrier and gas key. Features include forward assist serrations, compatibility with dust covers, and full-auto trip sear support for full-auto and multi-stage trigger functionality. The carriers are salt bath nitride-coated for corrosion resistance and wear resistance, and bolts are MPI tested with lugs chamfered 45 degrees for reliability. Faxon BCGs are superfinished to reduce friction and fouling, fully auto-rated, and laser-engraved with the Faxon Shield after QA. Gas keys use Grade 8 fasteners and are fully staked. A note: Faxon recommends using an adjustable gas block with the Gunner lightweight BCG for proper function. Coloration may vary.
