Proof Research makes their steel barrels in-house with the exact same commitment to quality and repeatability as they employ on their carbon fiber barrels. The drilling, rifling, and lapping process is identical to their composite barrels. They start with the same double stress-relieved 416R pre-hardened chromium stainless steel used in their carbon fiber barrels. This AR-15 6mm ARC stainless barrel features a 16-inch rifle-length gas system, 1:7.5 twist rate, threaded muzzle, stainless finish, heavy contour, and delivers match-grade accuracy with unprecedented durability.
