Aluma-Hyde II

Aluma-Hyde II features increased resistance to bore cleaners, solvents, and other cleaning chemicals (even trichloroethylene). After full cure, it is solvent-proof to all but the most aggressive copper-removing bore solvents.

Aluma-Hyde II is formulated with a hard-curing epoxy base with high-density pigment for a durable finish that adheres to properly prepared aluminum and alloy surfaces, steel, and plastics (including synthetic stocks). It dries to the touch in minutes and reaches full cure in about a week. No primer coat is required for a tough, durable, abrasion-resistant, rustproof finish.

Clean Out Nozzle included

Each can includes a Clean Out Nozzle, required before each use of the paint to prevent clogs in the nozzle and pickup tube. Additional clean out nozzles can be purchased separately.

Surface prep (summary)

• No priming required on clean, bare metal or anodized surfaces.
• Surface should be dry and free of oil, wax, dirt, loose paint, and other contaminants.
• Painted surfaces should be washed with a cleaner degreaser.

Prep can & spraying (summary)

• Use between 70°F and 90°F (not below 65°F).
• Shake vigorously until the ball rattles, then shake for 2 minutes.
• Hold can about 12" away and fully depress valve to spray.

Cure (summary)

• Dries to a light touch in ~10–15 minutes; wait 24 hours or more before extensive handling.
• Full cure is about 10–14 days before recoating.
• If a second coat is needed, apply within 30 minutes; after 30 minutes, allow 10–14 day cure before recoating.
