Boggy Head Rifle Range
The Francis Marion National Forest offers two range facilities for still target shooting: Boggy Head and Twin Ponds. The ranges were designed with firearm enthusiasts in mind and can accomodate pistols, rifles or shotguns. Please remember to bring your own paper targets. Keep the rifle range free of litter. Public land and government ranges often require a day-use pass, weekly permit, or annual recreation pass before you can shoot. Rules, hours, and access restrictions vary by managing agency. Please research the specific permit requirements and current conditions before making the trip.
